Hope everyone had a great start to the new year. Lots of things happening on my front and some travels coming but, but first…

I am so excited to let you know about an upcoming food photography workshop with husband-wife team Ashley and Gabe Rodriguez in my studio.

Ashley Rodriguez is the creator of Not Without Salt, the winner of Saveur Magazine’s Best Cooking Blog 2013. She studied in professional kitchens before becoming a mother of three. Ashley’s work has been published in Martha Stewart, Saveur.com, BonAppetit.com, FoodandWine.com, and People magazine. Ashley is writing and photographing her first cookbook, which will be published in 2015.

Gabe Rodriguez has been shooting weddings for ten years. His work has been featured in Seattle Metropolitan Bride, Seattle Bride & Groom, Portland Monthly, Portland Bride & Groom and on Style Me Pretty.

WHAT: A 2-day food photography workshop where you will learn about their philosophy on food styling and photography. You will get to work on a shoot from beginning to end. From food styling techniques, camera basics, ow to manipulate natural light, putting together a simple artificial light set-up for when natural light isn’t a possibility and lots of post-processing tips.

You will get to walk through historic Pike Place market in downtown Seattle to gather ingredients, style and photograph recipes.

Lunch is included both days.

WHEN: February 8 and 9, 2014
