Wild Apple – a new magazine redefining gluten-free living

food_mixlr

I have been living gluten free for nearly 5 years now. My book Small Plates and Sweet Treats came out a year and a half ago. The whole world of gluten-free publications has been elevated to a new level – the focus is on good food that happens to be gluten free. Book and magazines filled with beautiful images and stories that inspire.

I am so happy to tell you about a new publication that my friend and photographer Tara Donne and food stylist Liza Jernow are working on. I cannot wait for this one.

Wild Apple – a new magazine redefining gluten-free living.

It’s all about great food and travel that happens to be gluten free.

Please join them for their kickstarter campaign that will run May 7 – June 7. Check out their video.

AND… one of the rewards of this campaign includes a food styling and photography workshop in New York City with Liza and Tara.

I hope that you can make a contribution and help support the birth of this new beautiful and completely gluten-free magazine.

Thank you for the link to this kickstarter – what a great project and what a spectacular looking magazine. Definitely going to support this.

If they had an option to prebuy a subscription I would do that rather than the kickstarter thing!

which doesn’t look like it will make it to its goal …. :(

Hi Coleen, you can actually make a pledge and receive the first two issues. Because this is a new publication that comes mostly from public funding and Tara and Aliza’s hard work, it’s not easy to say how many magazines they will be able to release. This is the first push to get the first two issues. It’s a lot of effort without big publisher backing. All support is welcome to make this happen!

      Hi Olivia,

The magazine will be amazing but just wanted to point out that it’s not my magazine. Tara Donne and Liza Jernow are putting all the effort into it and I am just there to help spread the word because I fully believe in them! :)

    Hi Aran,
I will definitely check out this magazine and campaign.
Can’t believe it’s been more than a year since the Makerie Workshop but I’m still learning and applying the things you taught us.
Hope to visit your new studio one day! I love seeing all the creative and delicious energy there.
Would you mind sharing which program you use for your picture collage or split screens?
    Thank you!

Hi Tasha, it’s been a year indeed. Time flies. I use photoshop to create collages of photos. Thank you again for your kind words and hope you can join for a workshop!
