Coming and going

There has been lots of coming and going lately.

We just returned from Seattle where we spent some amazing five days. I spoke at BlogHer Food, caught up with friends, explored the city, and ate delicious food here, here, and here (and many more). All I can say is how much I love Seattle. I need to put it out there at once…

I want to live in Seattle. Where else can one find poppies growing out of a stone wall in an alley? I could have sat next to that wall for hours.

And this week I leave for Montreal where I will be teaching a food styling and photography workshop (you can read what the Montreal Gazette wrote about this workshop here). Thrilled about this one as well. And knowing me, I wonder if I will come back saying I want to live in Montreal.

Beautiful photograph. Nature manages these things so well without any help from us humans. You’ve definitely got a couple of weeks of meeting and enjoying. I wish I was near enough to take your photography course. GG

I loved Seattle as well. It is a refreshing city to visit, especially if you are from the east coast. I hope you discovered Spinasse on Capitol Hill- one of my favorite restaurants in the world with the most creative, simple, Italian dishes and handmade pastas. I dream about Seattle’s restaurant scene morning, noon, and night. I wish I was there to attend the event and hear you speak!
    All the best,
    Annalee
